It’s been another productive season for Milwaukee artists, with a new crop of murals lovingly painted on walls throughout our community.

This gallery features public artworks completed in the summer of 2021 by Tia Richardson, LaNia Sproles, Vedale Hill, John Fleissner and Fred Kaems.

Artist Tia Richardson recently completed this mural on the 3100 block of Locust Street. (All photos by Adam Carr)

On the 2900 block of Center Street, artist LaNia Sproles created this mural in collaboration with Metcalfe Park Community Bridges and community members.

Artist Vedale Hill created this mural, which depicts homes from the surrounding Harambee neighborhood onto an industrial building along the Beerline Trail.

Artist and MPS art teacher John Fleissner created this mural at the Center Street entrance to North Division High School.

Artist Fred Kaems recently completed this gateway mural for the Merrill Park neighborhood on the 3500 block of Park Hill Avenue.

The Merrill Park neighborhood’s boundaries are North 27th Street to North 39th Street, Wisconsin Avenue to Interstate 94.

Community artist Tia Richardson collaborated with community members to create “On the Wings of Love” on the east-facing wall of Pulaski Pool on South 16th Street.
