It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here.

1. Campaigning with a disability training: Monday, March 21

Learn about the process of running for elected office with a disability from people with disabilities who have run for office. This webinar is co-hosted by the REV UP Voting Campaign of the American Association of People with Disabilities and the National Council on Independent Living. This webinar runs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 21. Register here.

2. Lindsay Heights Community Meeting: Wednesday, March 23

Lindsay Heights residents are invited to meet their neighbors in this two-part community meeting on Wednesday, March 22 at North Division High School, located at 1011 W. Center St. The first part starts at 4 p.m. and covers housing and home finance. The second part begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes updates on the Neighborhood Improvement District. Day care is provided from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and food also will be provided. RSVP here.

3. Black Space Group Therapy for men: Wednesday, March 23

Black Space is a community healing circle geared for emotional emancipation and connection, facilitated by Dr. Lia Knox. This session is for Black and Brown men and runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 at the Milwaukee Art Museum, located at 700 N. Art Museum Drive. RSVP for free here.

4. How to make money as a freelance writer: Thursday, March 24

If you’re looking to get paid for writing at home, this free workshop is for you. Tia Love-DeBenedetto, founder of Pennefd by Love, teaches how writers and aspiring writers can convert their skill set into a career in freelance writing. The workshop runs from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Ambition Center MKE, located at 530 E Vienna Ave.

5. Construction Trades Workforce Job Fair: Thursday, March 24

Looking for a job in construction or trades such as HVAC maintenance, carpentry and electrical work? Learn more about open positions at this job and resource fair from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Employ Milwaukee, located at 2342 N. 27th St. More information here.
