Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy is pleased to announce their intention to acquire Fletcher Elementary School (9500 W Allyn St, Milwaukee, WI 53224). The facility is 60,000 square feet and located on nine acres of land. Synergy Development Group will renovate the facility in partnership with Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy (5575 N 76th St, Milwaukee, WI 53218) to serve as the new site for their school.

“We are thrilled to partner with the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools, and Synergy Development Group to acquire a building that will allow us to create a dynamic school for our students and families” said Edward DeShazer, Executive Director of Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy. “We know that the northwest side of the city deserves a great school. We are excited to work with Alderwoman Chantia Lewis, and Rob Chandler to re imagine the partnership between neighborhoods, schools, and our community”, Mr. DeShazer added.

“Students deserve a dynamic environment to learn, but many times the teachers are an afterthought. Our new space will have an average classroom size of close to 1,100 square feet (the national average is 900 square feet). We will provide a dedicated workout facility and locker room for staff. Staff will be encouraged to use the facility before, during, or after work. We will even be adding a meal prep service for our staff as well. My goal is to serve the whole-child, as well as the whole-teacher. It’s time to change the narrative of urban education”, Mr. DeShazer exclaimed.

About Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy:

Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy currently serves 500 students on Milwaukee’s northside. The school scored 75 out of a possible 100 points, earning the school a four-star rating also known as “exceeds expectations” on its state report card released in October.
