“We are thrilled to partner with the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools, and Synergy Development Group to acquire a building that will allow us to create a dynamic school for our students and families” said Edward DeShazer, Executive Director of Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy. “We know that the northwest side of the city deserves a great school. We are excited to work with Alderwoman Chantia Lewis, and Rob Chandler to re imagine the partnership between neighborhoods, schools, and our community”, Mr. DeShazer added.
“Students deserve a dynamic environment to learn, but many times the teachers are an afterthought. Our new space will have an average classroom size of close to 1,100 square feet (the national average is 900 square feet). We will provide a dedicated workout facility and locker room for staff. Staff will be encouraged to use the facility before, during, or after work. We will even be adding a meal prep service for our staff as well. My goal is to serve the whole-child, as well as the whole-teacher. It’s time to change the narrative of urban education”, Mr. DeShazer exclaimed.
