It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Reclaiming Our Neighborhoods Amani housing survey: sign up before Wednesday, July 27

Reclaiming Our Neighborhoods is a survey of the exterior conditions of homes in order to demonstrate a need for improvements. Dominican Center is recruiting 20 neighbors to survey in the Amani neighborhood during August.

2. CirculateMKE creative entrepreneur market: Saturday, July 23

CirculateMKE is a creative entrepreneur market with local vendors selling items such as custom art, clothing, home goods, food and more. The market takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at Alice’s Garden, located at 2136 N. 21st St.

3. Back-to-school community fair: Saturday, July 23

Get a free backpack with school supplies, a free hot dog and browse Mama Mac’s Closet for clothing at this back to school fair. The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at South Division High School, located at 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. No registration needed.

4. Farm to Table Fundraising Dinner: Saturday, July 23

Full Circle Healing Farm invites you to share a meal featuring produce from its farm. The meal runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at Tricklebee Cafe, located at 4424 W. North Ave. Tickets are $60 per person.

5. Bust a car for a cause: Saturday, July 23

Raise funds for Sojourner Family Peace Center, which provides domestic violence prevention and intervention resources, by demolishing a car. A $20 donation gets you 60 seconds of car smashing. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at the south lot of Lincoln Warehouse, located at 2018 S. 1st St.
