Happy 414 Day from the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service.

In tribute to Milwaukee’s area code, 414, 4/14 (April 14th) has become a day to celebrate and unite over everything that makes our city special and unique.

For the past 12 years, Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service has provided a much-needed news alternative in our city’s most diverse and underserved neighborhoods—one that is in the community, with the community and by the community.  Our professional daily reporting provides trusted information while representing the voices, needs and interests of our city’s greatest asset – its people.

At NNS, we see YOU in Milwaukee, which drives our mission to paint a complete portrait of our neighbors..

Our community-centered reporting:

  • Celebrates the ordinary people who do extraordinary things in the city.
  • Educates on resources and how to navigate the complexities of systems.
  • Illuminates through accountability reporting and explanatory journalism on significant issues of interest for and in our communities.
  • Innovates through an array of multimedia platforms to elevate storytelling and engage residents where they are.

This 414 Day, we thank you for being our neighbor in the city we love and for supporting us in the journey to make Milwaukee residents the most informed, connected and engaged.

This 414 Day,  spread the love for Milwaukee and spread the news – NNS and News 414!
