1. Chili Fest and Family Housing Resource Fair: Friday, Oct. 13
Don’t miss the chance to vote on the best chili and receive resources during the United Methodist Children’s Services of Wisconsin’s fourth annual Chili Fest and Family Housing Resource Fair from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at 3940 W. Lisbon Ave. More information here.
2. Free Senior Food Distribution: Friday, Oct. 13
Independence First, a South Side organization that serves people with disabilities, is partnering with the Hunger Task Force to provide free meals to seniors 60 and older. Free food will be available from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a drive-through distribution at 540 S. First St. More information here.
3. Oktoberfest Artisan Fair: Friday, Oct. 13
A three-day celebration will beheld on Milwaukee’s South Side for the Oktoberfest Artisan Fair, beginning Friday, Oct. 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 3722 S. 58th St. There will be free family-friendly fall festivities to enjoy and handcrafted items to buy over the weekend, so check out the schedule here.

Clean Wisconsin is celebrating completing 10 summers of stormwater management. Community members are invited to celebrate with food and activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Dominican Center for Women, 2470 W. Locust St. More information here.
5. Household Chemical Drop-off: Saturday, Oct. 14
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District areasking residents to drop off any household chemicals from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 in the Department of Public Works parking lot at 3850 N. 35th St. More information here.
