
On Saturday, Dec. 9, students from kindergarten through 12th grade delivered speeches at the We Energies Public Service Building Auditorium during the finals for the 40th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest.
Judges chose six winners who will deliver their speeches at the citywide Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration on Monday, Jan. 15 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
For the contest, sponsored by We Energies, students wrote a speech on the theme, “What Affects One Affects All.”
