The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee announced its 2024 Youth of the Year on Thursday, Dec. 14.
Ten students from across the city competed in this year’s program, which teaches leadership development skills to young people.
The students, along with representatives and mentors from the Milwaukee Bucks and Kohl’s, gathered to celebrate their achievements.
This year, the top honor went to Youth of the Year Loren Muwonge, representing the Ready Center.

Muwonge will represent Milwaukee at the state competition.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is one of the largest and longest youth-serving agencies in Milwaukee and the largest Boys & Girls Club in the country, with more than 50 locations in Milwaukee.
The organization serves youths ages 4 to 18 by offering after-school and summer programming that includes academic support, mentorship, organized athletics, arts and nutritious meals.
