1.  Spinn for Sobriety: Saturday, Feb. 10

Spinn MKE is a fitness studio that offers physical fitness classes centered around hip-hop. To celebrate community membersโ€™ wellness and recovery, a free fitness class will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 309 W. Brown St. Click here to register.

2. Emergency Diaper Program Registration

Muskego Way Forward and the Milwaukee Diaper Mission have partnered to offer Muskego Way residents free diapers. Parents or guardians will receive one pack of diapers for each child. Pre-registration is mandatory and must be completed before Saturday, Feb. 17. More information here.

3. Remembering Black LGBTQ+ Milwaukee Potluck: Saturday, Feb. 10

Diverse & Resilient and the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center are teaming up to host a potluck in honor of LGBTQ+ seniors during Black History Month. The potluck will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2439 N. Holton St. Feel free to bring old photos and suggested contributions for the potluck. More information here.

4. Chili Cook-Off: Saturday, Feb. 10

The Kinnickinnic River Neighbors in Action will gather for their fifth annual chili cook-off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2677 S. 16th St. You will get to try different chilies and cast a vote for your favorite chili. More information here.

5. Community Snowshoe Event: Saturday, Feb. 10

Children and adults are welcome to come try on  snowshoes and then take a hike through Havenwoods State Forest Park, 6141 N. Hopkins St., at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.  You will get to see animals, trees and more. Please dress for the weather! Registration is required. More information here. 

BONUS: Free Mpox Vaccine Drive-Thru Clinic: Saturday, Feb. 10

Milwaukee has recorded its first mpox case since 2023, according to the City of Milwaukee Health Department. In response to the new case, the Northwest Health Center, 7630 W. Mill Road, is holding a free mpox vaccine drive-thru clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
