1. Ceramics Class: Tuesday, June 4
Learn how to use a ceramics wheel at a free art class hosted by Mitchell Street Arts. The class will be led by master artist Maria de Los Dolores and will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. Click here to register. More information here.
2. Summer Reading Celebration: Tuesday, June 4
The Milwaukee Public Library Zablocki Branch is hosting a celebration event to kick off its summer reading challenge. Children and adults are welcome to participate in activities and enjoy refreshments from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave. More information here.
3. Wisconsin Felony Pardon Help: Tuesday, June 4
Doyle Sprewer is holding an informational session for individuals interested in learning about the pardon process. This is your chance to ask questions, find out your eligibility for a pardon and more. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at 2215 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. 4. Northwestern Mutual LLM Workshop: Thursday, June 6
Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute will host a workshop on how to create a framework for implementing large language models, or LLMs, in specific fields. Nadiyah Johnson, founder and CEO of Jet Constellations, and Kevin Chovanec, data scientist at Marquette University, will share how they use LLMs and will also provide examples. This online session will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. Registration is required. More information here.
5. Mayor’s Bike Ride: Thursday, June 6
Join Mayor Cavalier Johnson for a morning bike ride from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 6 at Tiefenthaler Park, 2501 W. Galena St. You are welcome to bring your own bike or rent a Bublr bike to join the mayor on this five-mile bike ride. Click here to RSVP. More information here.
