1. Town Hall Meeting: Monday, Aug. 5

Residents are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting about the former Northridge Mall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5 at 7501 N. Granville Road. This is your chance to ask questions and listen to the upcoming planning process. Speakers will include Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Ald. Larresa Taylor and Department of City Development Commissioner Lafayette Crump. Refreshments will be provided. More information here.ย

2. Monarch Larva Monitoring at Menomonee Valley: Tuesday, Aug. 6

Children and adults are invited to come learn how to find and count monarch butterfly eggs and caterpillars. It will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the Urban Ecology Center, 3700 W. Pierce St. Registration is required. More information here.

3. Pitch Black: Tuesday, Aug. 6ย 

Join MKE Black for a session on health, wellness and entrepreneurship from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 in the Business Commons, second floor of the Milwaukee Public Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave. The session will be led by a panel of local Milwaukeeans. More information here.ย 

4. Near Southside Safetyfest: Tuesday, Aug. 6

The Southside Organizing Center and National Night Out are partnering to host a safety fest from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Kosciuszko Park, 2201 S. Seventh St. The safety fair will include resources, free T-shirts and food. Click here to register. More information here. 

5. Bronzeville Business Breakfast: Wednesday, Aug. 7

As part of Bronzeville Week, the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District will hold a business breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 2153 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. You will receive resources and engage in conversations with industry leaders to help your business. More information here.ย
