1. Career Launchpad: Monday, Sept. 23
Teens and adults are welcome to receive help on their career journey from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Milwaukee Public Library Villard Square Branch, 5190 N. 35th St. You can work on your résumé, interviewing skills and more. More information here.
2. Community Gathering at Canni-MKE: Tuesday, Sept. 24
A community gathering for Walker’s Point residents will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 810 S. Fifth St. Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful will discuss sustainability in Milwaukee, followed by updates from community members and business owners. Refreshments will be provided. 3. Future Voters Fest: Wednesday, Sept. 25
English and Spanish-speaking families can learn about the voting process by participating in activities during the Future Voters Fest from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The event will take place at La Plazita Parklet between South 16th Street and West Forest Home Avenue. More information here.
4. Early Learners Storytime: Wednesday, Sept. 25
The Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition invites children, ages 2.5 to 6, to enjoy stories, songs and crafts from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 5235 S. 27th St. More information here.
5. District 3 Crime and Safety Meeting: Thursday, Sept. 26
Milwaukee Police Department District 3 will hold its crime and safety meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 2333 N. 49th St. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask officers questions. More information here.
Bonus: Share Input on Street Safety Improvements: Tuesday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept 25
The Complete Communities Transportation Planning Project and the Milwaukee County Department of Transportation are hosting five Safer Streets workshops across the county. Receive informational materials and share your opinion on which street solutions may work best on the roadways and intersections you use every day. All are welcome to attend the following workshops:
The Northwest Side meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Milwaukee Public Library Good Hope Branch, 7715 Good Hope Road. Accessible on Milwaukee County Transit System, or MCTS, Route 76.
