We will gather at 5:30 p.m. for the Milwaukee Black Political Power Tour.

Our main topic will be “Advocating for Change – Addressing Violence Against Black Women in Wisconsin.”

The panel, which will be moderated by Christina Carrega, national criminal justice reporter at Capital B, will feature Sheena Scarbrough, the mother of Sade Carleena Robinson; and State Rep. Shelia Stubbs, who has pushed to create a Missing and Murdered African American Women and Girls Task Force.

Also appearing will be State Rep. Dora Drake; State Sen. LaTonya Johnson; and Chandi LeSure, a supporter of Sade Robinson’s family.

NNS is joining forces with Capital B, the Black-led, local and national nonprofit news organization reporting for Black communities, and our friends over at HYFIN.

The free event will take place at Nō Studios, 1037 W. McKinley Ave.

And time is running out.

We want to see your face in the place. Register here.
