1. Milwaukee Urban AgCon: Monday, Oct. 21
Milwaukee Urban AgCon will have its first urban agriculture conference from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at Harold S. Vincent High School of Agricultural Science, 7501 N. Granville Road. There will be networking opportunities and workshops to help you learn more about urban agriculture .Registration is required. More information here.
2. MHD Lead Poisoning Prevention: Monday, Oct. 21
The City of Milwaukee Health Department, or MHD, will offer information to families on how to find and remove lead from their homes and how to prevent lead poisoning. This informational session will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. More information here.
3. Early Vote Kickoff Party: Tuesday, Oct. 22
You’re invited to join Working Families Power and Mitchell Street Arts to celebrate the first day of early voting from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. There will be live music and free food. Click here to register. More information here.
4. Tuesday Night Run: Tuesday, Oct. 22
Join FEAR MKE for its weekly Tuesday night run at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Taco Mike’s, 1001 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Participants must fill out a waiver before running. More information here.
5. MKE Artists & Creatives Meet Up: Thursday, Oct. 24
If you’re a painter, sculptor, musician or any type of creative, you’re invited to showcase your work and collaborate with other artists at Fruition MKE’s artists and creatives meet up. This gathering will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Fruition MKE, 825 N. 27th St. More information here.
