1. District 7 Crime and Safety Meeting: Monday, Nov. 18
Milwaukee Police Department District 7 will hold its crime and safety meeting from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at 3969 N. 74th St. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask officers questions. More information here.
2. Dine and Dialogue: Tuesday, Nov. 19
Rooted & Rising invites residents to share their ideas about building a strategic plan for Washington Park. The conversation will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4420 W. Vliet St. More information here.
3. My Kind of Brand: Tuesday, Nov. 19
If you are a business or brand owner interested in improving your brand marketing in creative ways, you’re welcome to attend free 15-minute business marketing consultations from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. 4. November Walker’s Point Association Gathering: Tuesday, Nov. 19
Walker’s Point Association will hold its monthly neighborhood gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 19 at The Iron Horse Hotel, 500 W. 5. Veterans in Focus: runs through Friday, Nov. 22
Veterans in Focus is a recreational photography group within the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center. Community members are invited to visit a Veterans in Focus photography exhibit called, “Exploring the Community through Photography.” The exhibit hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning on Monday, Nov. 18 and running through Nov. 22 at the Zablocki VA Medical Center – South Lobby, 5000 W. Bonus: Third Thursday Pitch Competition: Thursday, Nov. 21
The Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce will hold a pitch competition during its upcoming “Third Thursday” networking event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at Reign Event Lounge, 231 E. Buffalo St. There will be networking, games and giveaways, food, live music and more. Winners will qualify for the finale in December with the chance to win up to $10,000. More information here.
