It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Mil-Book-ee Book Club:  Monday, Dec. 30

You are invited to the Mil-Book-ee Book Club, led by the Milwaukee County Historical Society, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at 910 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. You will read and discuss a book titled, “Continually Working: Black Women, Community Intellectualism, and Economic Justice in Postwar Milwaukee” by Crystal Marie Moten. You may bring your own copy of the book or purchase one online. Refreshments will be provided. More information here.

2. Trivia Night: Monday, Dec. 30

Quizmaster Trivia will be hosting a trivia night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30 at 2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.​​ There will be questions related to music, movies, sports and more that are related to 2024. There is a $5 charge per quizzer and a chance to win prizes. More information here.

3. BLK Pride Tuesdays: Tuesday, Dec. 31

Black Pride Milwaukee Inc. will be hosting a karaoke night at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 3412 W. National Ave. Entry is free until 9 p.m., then there will be a $5 charge. More information here.

4. Foot Care Clinic: Wednesday, Jan. 1

City on a Hill Inc. will hold its monthly foot care clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 2224 W. Kilbourn Ave. Free foot services, including toe nail trimming, diabetic foot maintenance and more, will be offered. More information here.

5. Vinyl Vibes Wednesdays: Wednesday, Jan. 1

Bring your favorite vinyl records to play from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Indeed Brewing Co., 530 S. Second St., and receive $2 off your first beer. More information here.
