Dozens of community members attended the 24th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Justice Program at the St. Francis of Assisi Church.

With both Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Inauguration Day falling on Jan. 20, people across the city celebrated many different ways.

‘Beloved Community Day’
Ubuntu Research & Evaluation hosted “Beloved Community Day” at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. The event honored Martin Luther King’s life through a series of reformative practices like yoga, reflection and connection.

Wisconsin Republican Party Celebration
A Black coalition of the Wisconsin Republican Party hosted an Inauguration Day event at Brisa Do Mar in the Third Ward. Attendees celebrated the Trump-Vance win and discussed strategies for upcoming elections.
