gener8tor is excited to announce the opening of the application for the Spring 2025 gener8tor Art x Sherman Phoenix cohort, dedicated to serving the Milwaukee creative community by providing professional development, one-on-one mentorship, and grant funding for local artists. We are delighted to continue the momentum and invite artists to participate in this transformative initiative.
The gener8tor Art x Sherman Phoenix Accelerator Program is a seven-week program where participants receive individualized mentorship to strengthen the business side of their art practice. Individual artist grants of $10,000 will be available to Milwaukee-based artists who participate in the accelerator program. The deadline to apply for the Spring 2025 application cycle is March 2, 2025, with the seven-week accelerator program beginning on April 21, 2025.
The gener8tor Art x Sherman Phoenix program is specifically designed to cater to the needs of the Milwaukee creative community. It offers a range of valuable resources including professional development workshops, one-on-one mentorship opportunities, and grant funding for individual artists. The program places a particular emphasis on supporting creative professionals who have historically faced limited funding opportunities, including BIPOC individuals, LGBTIA+ community members, women, nonbinary individuals, persons with disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, and veterans. By focusing on the business aspect of their creative practices, the inaugural program aims to provide comprehensive support to these underrepresented groups.
