1. Job Readiness Training: Monday, Feb. 10
Individuals who are 16 and older are invited to attend a job readiness training event from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10 at Owenโs Place, 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave. You will learn about interview preparation, rรฉsumรฉ building and more. More information here.
2. Government Contracting Workshop: Monday, Feb. 10
The Milwaukee County Office of Equity will host a government contracting workshop for small business owners from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10 at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, 2153 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Suite 4004 & 4005. You will learn how to apply for government contracts, meet decision-makers and more. Registration is required. More information here.
3. Movie Night: Wednesday, Feb. 12
Families are invited to a movie night hosted by Safe & Sound Inc. and the Milwaukee Police Department District 3. It will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 4422 W. Leon Terrace. This movie night serves as a chance for law enforcement to engage with community members. Snacks will be provided. More information here.
4. After School at MPL: Wednesday, Feb. 12
Children are welcome to receive homework help and participate in hands-on activities from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. More information here.
5. Ceramic Heart Bowl Class: Wednesday, Feb. 12
Artist Sam Wolf will be teaching individuals how to create a ceramic heart bowl from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Mitchell Streets Arts, 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. This is a pay-what-you-can event (suggested donation: $20). Registration is required. More information here.
