It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Real Men Real Talk: Monday, March 17

Men and teen boys are encouraged to come to a monthly discussion held at Gee’s Clippers Barber and Beauty Salon for a conversation on issues they face in society. The next session is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at 2200 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. There will be food, raffles and resources. More information here.

2. District 7 Crime and Safety Meeting: Monday, March 17

Milwaukee Police Department District 7 will hold its crime and safety meeting from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at 3100 N. 52nd St. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask officers questions. More information here.

3. Tech-splanation: Tuesday, March 18

If you’re an older adult who struggles with using technology, a librarian will explain how to use it and answer your questions. Feel free to bring your device from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 at the Milwaukee Public Library Villard Square Branch, 5190 N. 35th St. More information here.

4. County Days: Thursday, March 20

The Milwaukee County Office of Equity is hosting “County Days,” which provides community members with resources in neighborhoods. The resource fair will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by a forum with panelists to discuss access to transportation from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at 2433 S. 15th Click here to register. 5. HIV Awareness Event and Film Screening: Thursday, March 20

In honor of National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center invites you to an HIV awareness event that will educate and provide you with resources. You can expect free HIV testing, Narcan training and a film from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 at 930 W. Historic Mitchell St. Dinner will be provided. More information here.
