It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Real Men Real Talk: Monday, April 21

Men and teen boys are encouraged to come to a monthly discussion held at Gee’s Clippers Barber and Beauty Salon for a conversation on issues that men face in society. This week, they will discuss the action of letting go. It will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21 at 2200 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. There will be food, raffles and resources. 2. Know Your Rights Workshop: Monday, April 21

The Wisconsin Muslim Civic Alliance will be hosting a workshop for immigrants to learn more about their rights when travelling, protesting, knocking on doors and more. The workshop will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 21 at 4707 S. 13th St. Registration is required. More information here.

3. Employ Milwaukee Tabling:  Monday, April 21

Employ Milwaukee will be at the Milwaukee Public Center Street Branch to share information about employment opportunities, paid training programs and more.  Representatives will be available from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 21 at 2727 W. Fond du Lac Ave. More information here. 

4. Clarke Square Earth Day: Tuesday, April 22

Local organizations will gather for a citywide cleanup in Clarke Square in honor of Earth Day at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22 at 2330 W. Vieau Place. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help. Cleaning supplies will be provided. Click here to register.  More information here.

5. Lincoln Village Neighborhood Spring Cleanup: Wednesday, April 23

You can join the Milwaukee Christian Center’s Youth Development Program in cleaning up Lincoln Village from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 at 2201 S. Seventh St. All cleaning supplies will be provided. More information here.
