1. Real Men Real Talk: Monday, June 16
Men and teen boys are encouraged to come to a monthly discussion held at Gee’s Clippers barber and beauty salon for a conversation on issues that men face in society. The next session is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 16 at 2200 N. Martin Luther King Drive. There will be food, raffles and resources. More information here.
2. District 7 Crime & Safety Meeting: Monday, June 16
Milwaukee Police Department District 7 will hold its crime and safety meeting from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 16 at Safe & Sound, 4422 W. Leon Terrace. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask officers questions. More information here.
3. Public Information Meeting: Tuesday, June 17
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works is proposing a rehabilitation of the North 25th Street Bridge over the Menomonee River. Residents and local businesses are invited to come learn about the project, receive updates and give feedback from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at the Mitchell Park Pavilion, 524 S. Layton Blvd.. More information here.
4. Amani Outreach Day: Tuesday, June 17
Amani Outreach Day is a pop-up community resource fair for Amani residents that runs from May to August. The next pop-up is from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 between North 21st and West Hopkins streets. If you run an organization or business that serves the Amani neighborhood, feel free to bring your own equipment to be a part of the resource fair and sign up to become a vendor. 5. Story Time with Play Group: Wednesday, June 18
Children ages 5 and younger can enjoy a story and open play time from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m on Wednesday, June 18 at the Milwaukee Public Library Zablocki Branch, 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave. They can listen to songs, have fingerplay and more. More information here.
