Alderman DiAndre Jackson wants to share with residents that a summer job fair will take place Thursday, July 24 at Sherman Park (on the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club baseball diamond), 3000 N. Sherman Blvd. The job fair will include various employers across the sectors of manufacturing, healthcare, retail, transportation/logistics, and more who are hiring right now. The job fair will take place from noon – 3 p.m. With an Extreme Heat Watch in effect, attendees are encouraged to take precaution as necessary, including staying hydrated. “The upcoming job fair is a tremendous opportunity for individuals who are looking for a new job or ready to explore a career change,” said Alderman Jackson. “I would encourage all job seekers to attend Thursday’s event to meet with employers who are actively hiring and have plenty to offer.”
Additionally, a companion job fair will also be taking place at Washington Park (in front of the band shell), 4599 W. Lloyd St. The Washington Park job fair will simultaneously take place from noon – 3 p.m.
