1. Community Closet: Saturday, Sept. 13
Muskego Way Forward invites its residents to a community closet to pick out free clothing, shoes and accessories for all ages from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 807 S. 14th St. Donations will also be accepted that day and every Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information here.
2. Community Cleanup: Saturday, Sept. 13
In honor of Revel Bar’s 10th anniversary, a community cleanup will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 starting at 2246 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. You will clean surrounding blocks with the supplies provided, and as a thank you, you will receive a drink voucher. More information here.
3. Flower Bouquets at the Garden: Saturday, Sept. 13
Residents are welcome to make a free flower bouquet with We Got This Milwaukee from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at its flower farm near 3169 N. Ninth St. Be sure to bring a vase or jar to fill with flowers. More information here.
4. Community Baby Shower and Resource Fair: Saturday, Sept. 13
Birthworkers United will be hosting its fifth annual community baby shower and resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society Museum, 2620 W. Center St. There will be entertainment, pampering, raffles, photos and refreshments. The featured guest will be Skai Academy of the Performing Arts. Click here to RSVP. More information here.
5. Rock Da Block: Saturday, Sept. 13
Dream Team United WI will host its seventh annual “Rock Da Block” from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at North 35th and West Center streets. The gathering will feature a concert, bookbag and grocery giveaway, cookout and resources. Volunteers are welcome, too. More information here.
