Sherman Park Grocery Store, 4315 W. Fond du Lac Ave., is Wisconsin’s only full-service Black-owned grocery stores that aims to address one of the 13 food deserts in Milwaukee by giving residents access to affordable healthy food.

“We wanted to contribute back to the community in a way that shined a positive light on Black-owned businesses that are pouring back into us as well,” said Charisma Easter, server at Truth Lounge and organizer of the fundraiser. “Especially during Black History Month, which happens to be my favorite month.”
