1. Ujamaa Resale Boutique: Friday, June 26

2. National Youth Day at ABHM: Saturday, June 27

As part of America’s Black Holocaust Museum’s Civic Season, it’s hosting a guided tour led by high school Jr. Griots, a youth-led panel and other activities to create space for young people to explore civic engagement, storytelling and more. The event will be held Saturday, June 27 at 401 W. North Ave. from noon to 3 p.m. More information here.

3. Conversation with Milwaukee’s Mayor: Saturday, June 27

Enjoy a community meal and conversation with Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson on Saturday, June 27 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Public Library’s Mitchell Street branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. Register here. Learn more here.

4. Block Party: Sunday, June 28

Join Sauce Milwaukee and the Victory Garden Initiative for their 6th Annual Block Party at 249 E. Concordia Ave. on Sunday, June 28 from noon to 5 p.m. There will be free food, resources, activities and fun. More information here.

5. Book Signing Event: Sunday, June 28

Mindful Mondays MKE  wants you to meet Kwabena Antoine Nixon to learn more about his new book “Dear Black Boy: Futures Not Funerals.” In addition to a book release and signing, the event will feature spoken word and other fun. Cost is $20, but attendees will receive $5 off Nixon’s new book. It will take place on Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 6 p.m. at 4233 W. Fond du Lac Ave. Buy tickets here. More information here.
