1. Young Founders Boss Moves: Monday, July 6
Entrepreneur in-residence Angelique Sharpe is hosting a workshop for young people ages 13 to 17 interested in exploring business ideas. The session will take place Monday, July 6 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Public Library Villard Square Branch, 5190 N. 35th St. More information here.
2. Mahogany Soul at Indaba Nights: Wednesday, July 8
Mahogany Soul is the latest group to perform at Indaba Nights, a free summer concert series. The concert will happen from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Indaba Band Shell, 2450 W. North Ave., on Wednesday, July 8. More information here.
3. Renter’s Rights Legal Clinic: Wednesday, July 8
Legal Action of Wisconsin is hosting a clinic in Clarke Square to help renters learn their rights when it comes to evictions, termination notices and housing issues. Attorneys will be on hand from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, 1036 S. 16th St. More information here.
4. Playtime in the Garden: Thursday, July 9
Alice’s Garden Urban Farm is hosting unstructured playtime in the garden on Thursday, July 9 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 2136 N. 21st St. The program is best suited for children 6 and under but older children are also welcome. More information here.
5. Havenwoods Walking Book Club: Thursday, July 9
Join the Milwaukee Public Library for a Walking Book Club. The walk will take place on Thursday, July 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. and begin at the Havenwoods Environmental Awareness Center, 6141 N. Hopkins St. More information here.
