1. Boba Paint and Sip: Friday, July 10

Teenagers ages 13 to 18 can enjoy boba tea while making arts and crafts at the Milwaukee Public Library Villard Square Branch, 5190 North 35th St., on Friday, July 10 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. More information here.

2. Cultural Art Vibes: Saturday, July 11

Join Rooted & Rising and the Washington Park Media Center for an afternoon filled with arts and crafts like making zines, painting, photo portraits and a free community barbecue. The event will take place at Washington Park, 1859 N. 40th St., between the Urban Ecology Center and picnic area 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. More information here.

3. The Guided Healing Circle Series: Collective Healing: Saturday, July 11

Connect with the community with a guided circle that engages in concepts of healing through the lens of advocacy, survivorship and collective gathering in Black, Brown and Southeast Asian communities. The circle takes place on Saturday, July 11 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hmong American Women’s Association, 3030 W. Highland Blvd. Register here. 4. Car & Coffee x Faith Over Fear: Saturday, July 11

Show off your cars and meet other enthusiasts at Velocity Auto Repair, 709 S. 16th St. (formerly Chavez Drive), on Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m. More information here.

5. Run Black & Grow: Saturday, July 11

Join Run Black & Green and Metcalfe Park Community Bridges on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a community walk and run to reflect on the grocery store closure one year ago. The walk will start at the parking lot of the closed Pick ‘N Save, 3624 W. North Ave., and move toward Metcalfe Park’s Black Joy Farm.  Register here. More information here.

Bonus event: Day of Healing: Sunday, July 12

The City of Milwaukee Department of Community Wellness and Safety is hosting a Day of Healing event from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 12 at Smith Park, 5462 N. 33rd St., in Picnic Area 2. Wellness activities will include yoga and sound healing. There will also be youth activities and community resources available. More information here.
