If you or anyone you know have applied for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, or HACM, Public Housing and Project-Based Voucher waiting lists, you must now confirm you want to stay on those lists.

Applicants must log into HACM’s Rent Café applicant portal to update their contact information and confirm their continued interest. The deadline to do so is 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.

Applicants who do not complete the process by the deadline will be removed from the applicable waiting list and will need to reapply.

According to a press release from HACM, the “Save Your Spot” campaign is intended to keep waiting lists accurate and ensure families can be contacted when housing becomes available. Completing the process will not affect an applicant’s current position on the waiting list.

Applicants can update their information through the Rent Café portal or learn more at hacm.org/saveyourspot. Those needing assistance or a reasonable accommodation can contact HACM for help.
