1. Gifts and Poetry: Friday, July 24

Revive Church, 2327 N. 52nd St., is hosting an evening of spoken word, community and food on Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m.  Featured artists include Daniel D’Aych Harris and Ajamou Butler. Vendors will be available. More information here.

2. Lowrider Magazine Super Show: Saturday, July 25

The Official Lowrider Magazine Super Show & Concert is coming to Milwaukee’s Baird Center, 405 W. Kilbourn Ave., on Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature lowriders, national music artists, food and shopping vendors. Tickets start at $47 and can be purchased here. 3. Joy in July Community Picnic: Saturday, July 25

Northview Church is hosting a community picnic from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at 10710 W. Mill Road. Residents are invited to enjoy a free afternoon of pony rides, games, bounce houses, free food and giveaways. More information here.

4. MKE Better Together: Saturday, July 25

Hosted by Evolve Church, the MKE Better Together celebration unites churches, community organizations and residents from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 for a day dedicated to serving, strengthening and uniting the city. The event will take place at Washington Park, 4599 W. Lloyd St., and will include free food, giveaways and community resources. More information here.

5. Walk. Run. Talk.: Saturday, July 25

Join others from across the community for a day focused on mental health awareness, suicide prevention and hope at Hart Park, 7219 Hart Park Lane. Held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, the event will include resources, entertainment, fitness and wellness instructors and food vendors. More information here.

Bonus: School Rocks Backpack Giveaway: Sunday, July 26

The Wireless Zone of Milwaukee, 1857 E. Kenilworth Place, is giving away free backpacks with school supplies while they last on Sunday, July 26 at 1 p.m. One backpack is provided per child, and children must be present. More information here.
