1. Davidson Park Movie Night: Zootopia 2: Friday, Aug. 21

Head to Davidson Park, 3725 W. Juneau Ave., for a free movie night on Friday, Aug. 21 starting at 6:30 p.m. The H-D Moto Lab opens with free STEAM activities for kids from 5 to 6:30 p.m. before the movie starts. More information here.

2. ESL Movie Club: Friday, Aug. 21

English language learning adults can jump online for a monthly virtual ESL movie night on Friday, Aug. 21 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Register here.

3. Fall in Love with Books Festival: Saturday, Aug. 22

Milwaukee Poet Laureate Shelly Conley is hosting a festival at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St., on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. featuring local poets, authors and storytellers. More information here.

4. Milwaukee Made: Tyanna Buie and Khari Turner: Saturday, Aug. 22

Gee’s Clippers, 2200 N. Martin Luther King Drive, is hosting a reception featuring Milwaukee natives and nationally known creatives Tyanna Buie and Khari Turner and a gallery of their work on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 6:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a moderated conversation from 7 to 9 p.m. More information here.

5. 5th Annual Back to School Bash: Sunday, Aug. 23

Grab free backpacks and school supplies at 5370 W. Fond du Lac Ave. on Sunday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. More information here.
