1. Friday Bird Walk: Friday, Sept. 4

Bring or borrow a pair of binoculars to catch fall bird migration on a roughly 1.5-mile walk with a naturalist at Havenwoods State Forest, 6141 N. Hopkins St., on Friday, Sept. 4 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. More information here.

2. UNITY Movement in Moody Park: Friday, Sept. 4

Grinding to Glory is hosting an evening of peace, positivity and personal responsibility, featuring a live performance by Goalden Chyld at Moody Park, 2201 W. Auer Ave., on Friday, Sept. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. Get free tickets here.

3. Walk to Break the Sickle Cycle: Saturday, Sept. 5

The City of Milwaukee Health Department is sponsoring a walk to raise awareness about sickle cell disease at Dineen Park, 6901 W. Vienna Ave., on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, or $5 for an adult or child living with sickle cell and their caregivers. More information here.

4. Tech in Nature: Saturday, Sept. 5

Using a phone, learn to identify nature while contributing to citizen-science conservation data at Havenwoods State Forest, 6141 N. Hopkins St., on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More information here.

5. Jazz Jam: Sunday, Sept. 6

Bring an instrument to jam or just come listen to live jazz at The Amani Place, 401 N. 35th St., on Sunday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. More information here.
