With the holidays approaching, the Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is opening registration for its seasonal Toy Shop to residents on Monday, Nov. 2.

Toy Shop is a free program that gives custodial parents, guardians, caregivers, foster parents and grandparents in Milwaukee County the opportunity to pick out free toys for their children age 12 and younger.

The registration link for the Toy Shop will go live at 9 a.m. on Monday and will run through Nov. 29. Interested participants can also register in-person at select Salvation Army sites across Milwaukee’s North and South Side. The times and dates for in-person registration varies.

Toy Shop requirements

Upon registration, the Salvation Army of Milwaukee County requires you to show proof of ID, residence and the child’s age. Click here to view eligible documents you can use to show proof.

It’s also encouraged that you don’t bring your children to the Toy Shop registration. If you have someone registering on your behalf, that person is required to have their ID, a letter of you giving them permission and the reason you can’t register, along with the additional eligibility requirements.

Toy Shop is expected to distribute toys to families on Dec. 15 through Dec. 18. Click here for more information on the Toy Shop. For more information, you can contact outreachmke@usc.salvationarmy.org.
