1. Music on the Beerline: Friday, July 15

This year, Music on the Beerline is not a one-time event but a monthly series running through September. This month’s show includes Twan Mack and DJ Bizzon and runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15 at The Beerline Plaza, 3350 N. Holton St.

2. MATC auto repair and maintenance class for women: Saturday, July 16

Learn basic automotive skills and car maintenance in this class for up to 10 women. The class runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 16 at Al Hurvis Peak Transportation Center, 1101 N. 6th St. Email transportation@matc.edu to register.

3. Pop-up shop at Urbal Tea: Saturday, July 16

Woman-owned businesses The She Shed, Knots & Braids macramè and Chelotzin will take over Urbal Tea and fill it with plants, macramé and gifts. The pop-up is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16 at 3060 S. 13th St.

4. Wisconsin’s Underground Railroad spotlight: Saturday, July 16

Learn about 16 year-old Caroline Quarlls, who landed in Milwaukee in 1842 during her escape from slavery into Canada. A piece of her journey is tied to the land that is now the Fondy Farmers Market. This event celebrating Quarlls is hosted by the Wisconsin Black Historical Society and the Fondy Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at the Fondy Farmers Market grounds, located at 2200 W. Fond du Lac Ave.

5. COVID-19 citywide vigil: Sunday, July 17

The Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition is hosting a citywide vigil to reflect on the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on families and the community. The vigil takes place from 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 at Washington Park, 4599 W. Lloyd St.

BONUS: Carvd N Stone scholarship fundraiser: Friday, July 15
