WWBIC has recently appointed Makeba Butler and Lisa Taylor as Co-Directors for the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) Program at WWBIC, which covers Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC), an AERIS rated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and 501(c)(3) whose mission is to improve the economic well-being of individuals – specifically women, minority, lower-wealth and Veterans, was awarded a $750,000 grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Community Services – Community Economic Development (CED) Program.

Three Clarke Square entrepreneurs were selected as finalists to compete to win a grand prize of $2500 to support business development goals. La Catrina de Villa, led by entrepreneur Guillermo Ramos Serrato, was the grand prize winner.
