This has been a wonderful week for celebration, education, and illumination at NNS. As I look over the stories we are bringing you today, I am reminded of how much our neighborhood newsroom has truly become a daily destination. We want to be the place you go when you crave essential information, seek true community inspiration, and want to engage in civil civic conversations.

In this week’s wrap-up, you will find stories that highlight the vibrant pulse of Milwaukee. We dive into celebrations of culture at the Black Arts Fest MKE and a new youth-tended garden in the 53206 ZIP code. We share vital educational resources for local parents preparing students for the upcoming school year. Finally, we bring much-needed illumination to critical civic issues, detailing ongoing community conversations around illegal fireworks and gun violence prevention.
