In addition to being one of the largest fundraisers for Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Milwaukee’s ReStores prevent over one million pounds of usable materials from ending up in local landfills each year.  Thanks to generous donations from businesses and individuals, ReStore is helping give new life to furniture, cabinetry, appliances and more. ReStore will be celebrating reuse and repurposing all month long this April, highlighted by a Donation Drive on April 18 at Mayfair.

On Saturday, April 18th from 10am until 2pm ReStore staff and volunteers will be in Macy’s Northeast lot at Mayfair ready to help community members with their spring cleaning. ReStore is the solution for gently used home furnishings, improvement supplies, and appliances people no longer need. Donations will be resold at area ReStores with proceeds supporting Habitat’s goal of eliminating poverty housing in Milwaukee. Donations are tax-deductible.

This is the fourth year Mayfair has partnered with Habitat for Humanity ReStore for this annual donation drive, which has raised thousands of dollars for Habitat’s mission. Mayfair is owned and managed by General Growth Properties, Inc., an S&P 500 company focused exclusively on owning, managing, leasing, and redeveloping high quality retail properties throughout the United States. GGP is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and publicly traded on the NYSE under the symbol GGP.
