The Safe & Sound Board of Directors has announced that Bridget M. Robinson, Safe & Sound’s Program Director, will serve as Interim Executive Director for the organization beginning November 27th.
Lafayette Crump, Safe & Sound’s board chair, noted the board’s enthusiasm around the announcement. “Bridget has been an incredible asset to the team, and we are grateful to her for assuming this important responsibility. The board is looking forward to working with her to ensure a smooth transition into Safe & Sound’s next chapter.” Joining the Safe & Sound team in June 2019, Bridget has been responsible for overall coordination and supervision of programming, managing program reporting, building relationships with key partners and stakeholders, and taking on leadership roles in strategic planning, program design and evaluation.

Previously, Robinson served as the Director of Human Resources for St. Charles Youth and Family Services in Milwaukee and as the CEO; Founder of QB Solutions. Robinson is also the Executive Director of BlankSpace MKE, President of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Milwaukee Chapter, a Co-Founder of Milwaukee Black Restaurant Week, and a member of Milwaukee Urban League and Milwaukee’ Women’s Coalition. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Marquette University, a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Phoenix and a Juris Doctorate from Concord Law School.
Safe & Sound’s Board of Directors has assembled a search committee to find a permanent executive director, following the departure of outgoing executive director Katie Sanders. The search committee, chaired by John Kordsmeier (retired, Northwestern Mutual) includes Lafayette Crump (Prism Technical), Sodi Nichols (U.S. Bank), Alison Neuman (Johnson Controls), Barbara Smith (Community Volunteer), Rob Cherry (Employ Milwaukee), and Molly Schweiger (PNC Financial Services Group). The committee has also selected and hired Leading Transitions to spearhead the search and assist in finding the right candidate.
