FBI Director awards Safe & Sound for Community Leadership
At Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Washington D.C. headquarters, on Friday, April 28, 2017 FBI Director James Comey formally honored Safe & Sound with a 2016 Director’s Community Leadership Award, received by Executive Director Katie Sanders, in recognition of the organization’s contibutions to community safety through service and prevention efforts.
Safe & Sound to host Heralds of Hope in Story & Song, an alternative holiday music & literary show
On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m., critically acclaimed Milwaukee-born author/performer Paul McComas and Chicago singer/songwriter Maya Kuper will present Heralds of Hope in Story & Song — a 90-minute, 21-and-over alternative holiday program of music, theater, and literature about “struggle through hardship into hope” — at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn, 1001 E. Locust St.
