On Saturday, July 10th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, we are inviting the community to El Rey Grocery Store at 915 S. Cesar Chavez Drive to inscribe tiles that will be embedded in the United Farm Worker “huelga” eagle.
La Catrina de Villa selected as winner in Clarke Square Small Business Competition
Three Clarke Square entrepreneurs were selected as finalists to compete to win a grand prize of $2500 to support business development goals. La Catrina de Villa, led by entrepreneur Guillermo Ramos Serrato, was the grand prize winner.
Isabel Castro selected as artist in residence for Cesar E. Chavez Drive
This fall, the Farm Project will implement its second Artist in Residence program. Milwaukee artist Isabel Castro has been selected from a deep and talented pool of artists to work out of the public studio & gallery space on S. Chavez Drive from August to December 2018.
Cesar Chavez Drive 2018 Artist in Residence request for qualifications
The Farm Project is excited to build connections between the Milwaukee arts community and Cesar Chavez Drive, by providing an artist studio space that is open to neighborhood residents and business owners to interact with an artist, and watch the evolution of each piece of work being completed firsthand.
