Organizers seek to raise funds for free arts programming
Bring Art Back Inc., a nonprofit founded to address the scarcity of free arts programming in the city, will hold a fundraiser Feb. 21, with proceeds going toward buying art supplies and providing free art lessons for kids.

Walker’s Point Parade commemorates Day of the Dead
The Día de Los Muertos parade through Walker’s Point boasted colorful costumes, stilt walkers, puppets, music, dancers and marchers carrying ofrendas (offerings) in memory of loved ones.

Partnership fills arts, humanities void for MPS students
Milwaukee Public School (MPS) budget cuts over the years have led to the elimination of many full-time art teacher positions. In response, MPS and local organizations created a program to fill the void, allowing thousands of Milwaukee youth to participate in innovative community-based programs.
