Ribbons, foil and red bows create oasis on close-knit block
Twenty-six trees along 24th Place on the North Side are tied with red bows and wrapped with gold foil in an effort to spread holiday cheer.
Twelve days of Christmas gifts cheer Borchert Field neighbors
Although there didn’t appear to be any lords leaping or drummers drumming, two Borchert Field men made Christmas merrier for neighborhood children. For 12 days before Christmas they collected, wrapped and distributed warm clothing and toys from a front porch at 9th and Ring streets.
